Akiko’s Menu Art 2026

For Akiko’s 2026 menu, Jacelyn Rene created a custom gyotaku print, San Francisco’s first Omakase, infusing the design with traditional Japanese printmaking.

Founded in 2025, Jacelyn Rene collaborates with premier omakase restaurants to present live gyotaku demonstrations, transforming each meal into an intimate and immersive artistic experience. Guests witness the traditional Japanese art form brought to life, creating a rare intersection of fine dining and visual storytelling.

The Imprint Experience

Jacelyn Rene joined Daytime, the nationally syndicated daytime television show, for a live introduction to the traditional Japanese art of Gyotaku. During the segment, Jacelyn demonstrated the art of fish printing, offering viewers an intimate look at the process, technique, and tradition behind the practice.
