The Imprint Experience is a living intersection of art, environment, and intention—where each piece is created not just to be seen, but to be felt. Rooted in the ancient practice of Gyotaku and reimagined through a modern, refined lens, every work preserves a moment in time while honoring the beauty, movement, and story of the subject.
Through curated installations and thoughtful collaborations, The Imprint Experience transforms spaces into something more—inviting guests into a sensory encounter that lingers long after they leave.

What’s Next

Join us as The Imprint Experience is presented at TORO Honolulu, offering an immersive pop-up gallery and live gyotaku printing activation alongside an intimate omakase experience.

From 12–4 PM, step into a curated outdoor exhibition featuring Jacelyn Rene’s original watercolor and gyotaku works, setting the tone for the evening ahead.

The experience continues with two exclusive omakase seatings at 5 PM and 8 PM, where TORO’s thoughtfully crafted menu is complemented by a contemporary interpretation of a traditional Japanese art form. Throughout the evening, guests will encounter the gyotaku process brought to life in real time - quietly unfolding alongside the rhythm of each course.

Each guest will leave with an original print - a lasting piece to carry the experience beyond the counter.
